This 2000 sf open concept ranch style home was custom built by Ewald Homes with absolutely stunning interior finishes. Starting with solid rustic wide plank Canadian made hardwood flooring From PG Model covering most of the main floor living space paired with large format porcelain tile in the en-suite with in-floor-heat and a large custom shower, the main floor laundry and guest bath featuring 12x24 porcelain tile is also a very nice feature. The basement in this beautiful custom home was designed as a man cave and the Luxury Vinyl Plank from Karndean installed featuring a herringbone pattern was the perfect floor to pair with the very manly basement custom shower and the ultra thick 2 spare bedroom carpets from Dream Weaver.
The Hardwood Selection in this home was selected from the one of our exclusive Canadian Manufacturer PG Model's Unique Collection named Garneau, this rustic hardwood floor is very unique so it has a very clever name. For starters this floor is finished with a natural oil that gives the flooring the look of old worn charm, like a vintage wine that gets better when aged, a room with a floor from the Unique Collection will increase in value in the eyes of those who recognize the beauty of natural wood. This Unique Collection also features slight variances in the milling of the product that were done purposely to enhance the rustic feel of the milling. Although this floor looks like it may have sharp or uncomfortable to the touch edges, it does not and with proper care and maintenance this floor will stay looking gorgeous for years to come.
The En-suite bath features an enormous 24"x48" marble replica from Olympia Tile named Arya, this huge porcelain features in-floor-heat that is on a programmable touchscreen thermostat for the homeowners convenience. The shower wall and ceiling tile is also from the Olympia Arya Series, however sized at the more standard 12"x24". The tile in the guest bath and laundry was selected to correspond with the beautiful cabinets from Windmill Cabinet Shop and is called Olympia Allure Grey and also features a 12"x24" sizing.
Ewald Homes did an amazing job matching the solid wood staircase to our lovely Unique Collection Hardwood from PG Model. This beautiful staircase brings us down to the amazing basement "Mancave" featuring another Owen Flooring exclusive product Karndean Design Flooring Reclaimed Redwood perfectly installed in a herringbone pattern that stretches out throughout the living space right into the bathroom and makes for a beautiful waterproof floor.
The mancave custom shower features a pebble shower floor with the 12"x24" Olympia Niagara Falls Series White installed on the walls. All Owen Flooring and Ewald Homes custom showers feature the complete Kerdi Schluter System and are made completely waterproof with the best waterproofing system in the industry.
