Saint-Georges, June 1st, 2015 – Mirage, the hardwood flooring brand renowned for quality, has been named North America's top hardwood flooring manufacturer for the eight year by Floor Covering News magazine.
The distinction is based on results of the annual "Award of Excellence" competition by Floor Covering News, a U.S. trade publication. Floor Covering News asked thousands of floor covering dealers to vote for the best hardwood flooring manufacturer on its website and during Surfaces trade show held last January in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“This recognition means a lot to all of us working for the success of the Mirage brand. Reaching the top isn't easy but staying there year after year is even harder. We would like to sincerely thank the retailers who voted for Mirage,” said Luc Robitaille, Vice President of Marketing at Boa-Franc, manufacturer of the Mirage brand.
Dealers were asked to vote on the best hardwood flooring manufacturer based on the following criteria: design, service, value, performance, quality, professionalism of sales force, management responsiveness, customer service, handling of claims, and ease of doing business. This award is the twenty-fourth (24) recognition of the industry that Mirage has received over the past decade. Boa-Franc, manufacturer of the Mirage brand, is the proud laureate of the highest distinction bestowed by the Quebec government to businesses and organizations that successfully apply best business practices: the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité Award. A Look at Sustainable Harvesting in a Hardwood Forest
Hardwood Floors Magazine
Kim M. Wahlgren September 2005
Mention a timber harvest, and most people envision a clear cut-nothing but stumps left in what appears to be total destruction. In the case of trees harvested to supply the domestic hardwood flooring industry, however, that's rarely the case. Today's hardwood forests that are managed for timber production are usually carefully monitored and harvested for sustainability. After the loggers move out, a casual onlooker may not even recognize that the forest was recently harvested.
